I don't know who gave us the information about Wayne's passing but it was a shock to me. Wayne was one of our Browning school gang.  We had some really neat people there.  Wayne might have been one of the craziest.  He was always looking for a laugh.  It wasn't unusual for that quest to get him in trouble ... at which he just laughed anyway!  He had such an incredible sense of humor.  Somehow we crossed paths again during the summer in some baseball league sponsored by the OLD Milwaukee Brewers, the American Association team prior to th arrival of the Braves.  Anyway, Wayne and I were on the same team.  We must have been 12 or so.  He was the first pitcher I ever caught who actually threw a curveball when he wanted to ... most of the time for strikes.  At that age the batters were diving out of the way anyway.   I think I was too ... although perhaps I was suppose to catch it!

God we had some good times Wayne.  Sorry I lost touch with you.
