This message forum is an ongoing discussion about anything and just about everything ... within reason.  One thing our class was good at was having opinions.  Almost 70 years of life experience certainly qualifies us as experts on most everything!   Ask a question ... give an opinion ... share some insights ... it's our web site, it's our forum.  That said, it's probably not a good idea to get into arguments about politics, religion, and the like.  While we're experts on everything, we also have a wide range of values and beliefs. This site belongs to all of us ... the whole range ... and we are not here to isolate, alienate, or subjugate anybody.  Of course insults, humiliation, sophomoric barraggadocio, and demented humor is expected behavior among some of us less mature people.

All is corrected Nancy!  Saturday it is.  You know the CA people never make mistakes or is it they never admit to any mistakes!?

I LOVE it, Marilyn!!! Maybe we can have a teacher's table where we all participate in our favorite "Kids Say The Darndest Things" moments. Except, I've forgotten all those darned things they said!!! I saw there is going to be a memorabilia table. I just found our 1961-62 white and yellow pages from Milwaukee. If nobody else is bringing them, I'll put them in my suitcase. I think they'll pass thru TSA.

Terri, how many pages???  They might think it is a weapon?  LOL

Really - they are much thicker than most phone books are now. Everybody was listed back then. They will add a lot of weight.

Sellers - unable to reach your bookie (very common in calif) but will take that FB bet; Packers by 3 over 49ers; 27-24.  Drink of my choice when I win.  Just think, on Thurs you get to see the Packers win again,  lucky you.

Okay! You talked me into changing the Profile Photo to recent vintage. I haven't changed a bit....have I?

Oh! California Garry......I think you got that score wrong. You know you are still a Cheesehead, through and through.

Packers 28 - SF Gold Diggers 17

Carol!!!  I expect to hear nasty remarks from impolite people like Gordy, both Ken's, Nancy, et al.  I never expected to hear them from you!  Let's see, note to self ... move Carol from the "safe" list to the "in danger & endangered" list for Saturday!

09/09/12 03:00 PM #358

Nancy Davison (Boerger)

Excuuuuuuuuuuuse me!

I resent being placed in the "impolite people" category (especially that undisciplined "et al" crowd). If I am not seated with a carefully selected group of refined and distinguished classmates of impeccable character, I shall demand a refund.

Marilyn Griffith (Bauer)

Nancy, "If I am not seated with a carefully selected group of refined and distinguished classmates of impeccable character, I shall demand a refund."

Yikes, since I haven't developed into refined, distinguished and of impeccable character I won't be able to sit with Nancy :)  I'm a bit unrefined, indistinguishable and of questionable character! But, for a GOOD TIME, Nancy, sit with me!!!

Nancy Davison (Boerger)

WE'RE ON.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!

09/09/12 05:02 PM #361

Garry Sellers

Nancy - You're excused ... but I thought we weren't going to use that phrase.

09/09/12 05:12 PM #362

Nancy Davison (Boerger)

We weren't?

Remind me.............

Hey just watched the end of the Niners-Pack game! In these games, for us CA transplants, there can't be a loser.

Karen Gerstl (LeDuke)

"a carefully selected group of refined and distinguished classmates of impeccable character"

Excuse me, am I in the correct class group?  Do not remember ever witnessing a group like that!

09/10/12 09:05 AM #365

Nancy Davison (Boerger)

Karen - I think we all have to be vetted by the Grand Poohbah (that would be G.S.)

09/10/12 11:47 AM #366

Jim Cejka

Right on Terri. After that game, it's welcome to have some consolation. (Besides running off to the beach.)

Kenneth Pallaske

All,

How can we be "refined" and "distinguished" with Garry leading the Pack?

Oops! That is not a reference to my prediction, Garry. I am eating cheese today while living in the midst of Lion Nation. On top of that, the Badgers took it to the cleaners, too!

Hey! Where are all of the old, wrinckled mug shots? I can't be the only one that looks so "distinguished" and "refined."

09/10/12 04:11 PM #368

Garry Sellers

Leading?  Heck, I was just following you guys because I thought you knew where the bar is!

Terri Levenhagen (Hoornstra)

If you check out Nancy Homan Binder's profile update, you will find some very good news - and I think we all needed that! I should have said Nancy Homan Cagley's profile update!

Coleen Kober (Marshall)

This is the first opportunity I have had to read all the responses.  I started out at Cass Street School and then moved north of Silver Spring and finished kindergarten at Carleton.  During College, I worked at Arro Custard Stand on the corner  just across from Carleton.  That custard stand has been gone for many years.

Terri Levenhagen (Hoornstra)

Hey Ken,

What are you talking about? We all look exactly the same as our H.S. photos. It's just that the color adds wrinkles.

09/10/12 11:17 PM #372

Jim Cejka

Terri,

If color causes wrinkles,  what can we say it does for hair (or lack thereof)?

09/11/12 09:39 AM #373

Kenneth Pallaske

Hey Jim,

I let my hair blow in the wind a few years ago but, I was too lazy to go back after it. (Garry. Is that a dangling thing-a-ma-jig?) So...No! I don't think color in the picture will do anything.

Well the excitement is building, .....I am leaving on a jet plane

in the morning.  Headed for Milwaukee.  Very happy and excited to see "old" friends, lol.

See you all real soon!

Partygoers -

While you're rockin' and a rollin', movin' and a groovin', remember the dances and proms we had (aahhh, the "Stairway to the Stars"). There was a real band, live people playing instruments. Not some DJ with a sound system rumbling out at 7.5 on the Richter scale, with 17 x 106 cds, none of which has the song you really want to hear. You could even hear each other talk during  the music.

So this weekend, kick back, turn up/down your Miracle Ears, and enjoy the memories.
