I did not really know Lois in High School.  In the early 70's we lived in a townhouse, and one of the neighbor's son played with my son.  My son came home from playing one day, and said....Mom, my friends mother has a school yearbook, just like yours.  It was the 1962 yearbook.  So we exchanged phone numbers, and chatted on the phone, and decided that we would get together after the Christmas Holiday and see who we both knew in common.

Lois had 2 children Mark and Melissa, Melissa had something wrong with her legs had wore braces.  She had had several surgeries, and was just beginning to be able to walk without her crutches.

On Christmas, Lois, her mother and her kids went to relatives home to celebrate the holiday.  On the way home, they were hit by a drunken driver.  Lois died immediately, her mother's legs were crushed and she was hospitalized, and died about a month later.  Mark was not hurt.  Melissa broke bother her legs.  It was so sad.

Lois' ex-husband and his wife stepped up and were there for both of the kids, they were good people.

What I do know about Lois, is that she was a wonderful mother, she worked hard to make a good home for her kids, and she was loving and caring.  I wish I could have gotten to know her better.
