There was a close knit group of us that had come to Custer from Mother of Good Counsel School, and we all attended the same Church. Barbara was a part of that group. I wish I could say that she and I were the best of friends, but the truth is that sometimes we did not see eye to eye. But she was a part of our circle, and she belonged there, and forgetting the rough times, I remember the good times. We attended lots of the same parties, and youth activities at church. I remember her laugh, it was distinct, and it was contageous.
The last time I saw Barbara was when she visited my apartment, after I was married. She came by with Carol Zepezauer, Sandy Blando, we had alot of fun reminiscing about the past, that was in the late 60's.
I lost track of Barbara after that. I was saddened to hear that she had passed. I hope she is at peace. She is gone, but not forgotten!
