I didn't know Jim in high school,  but worked with him on the 25th reunion committee.  He was a really nice guy.  I was sad to hear from Bernie that Jim had died.

I don't remember Jim from HS but we met as teachers at MATC.  My son was doing training in automotives and used the facilities at MATC South where Jim taught.  They often met at Tech conventions after that.  Small world!

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim from elementary school (35 St. School) thru high school.  When he got a paper route he used to enjoy letting us know when the Journal arrived by banging it off of our aluminum storm door.  He was a pretty good shot, from his bike on the side walk to the bottom of our door, never once breaking the glass or screen.  Many years later we reconnected on Classmates.com.  We were among the first to sign on.  I never knew why I stopped hearing from him until I saw his name on the "In Memory" list on this website.  Jim was quiet but smart with a good sense of humor.  I'm sure he is missed by many.

We ate lunch together almost every day. Jims' claim to fame was that his lunch was ALWAYS a PP&J. Yup every day. Jim could also play a mean guitar and played in bands as lead. Had a chance to hook up with them in 97(think thats close) and see their beautiful mansion on Lake Shore Dr. that they were restoring. We started to share emails and then nothing. Was much later that I learned he had passed. Was a great guy and I miss him. Chris
